Fashion/Textiles/Jewelry designer, self-employed by brand HELENA BAJAJ LARSEN. Recent graduate of Parsons School of Design (Fashion Design BFA 17') where she created the KHADI THESIS project, a collection which received several awards one of which led to a summer fellowship working for Donna Karan and Rihanna in Haiti developing a range of products for Urban Zen and Clara Lionel Foundation. Selected by the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) as one of the 69 top US-design graduates of 2017.
The fabrics for the collection were sourced from Khadi shops around India and hand- painted using acid and pigment dyes on a variety of silks and other materials. In parallel, Helena began exploring metal work as part of an elective at school and decided to present a jewelry collection focused on surface alterations as a part of her thesis.
