Alber Elbaz
For 14 years, Alber Elbaz was the artistic director of LANVIN with a mission to “wake-up the sleeping beauty,” transforming the oldest French couture House still operating into one of the most sought-after luxury labels in the world. Morocco-born, and raised in Israel, Elbaz trained in New York under the tutelage of legendary American couturier, GEOFFREY BEENE. He then made his home in Paris taking over as the head designer for Prêt-à-Porter for GUY LAROCHE and later as the artistic director for YVES SAINTLAURENT Rive Gauche collection. Open, sincere, intuitive and sparkling, Elbaz has a taste for the unforeseen and rises to challenges. He aims for urban elegance where emotion and optimism reconciles modernity and femininity, technique and originality, and sensuality and creativity.
